Job Details

Title: Security Agent

Workplace: Cornwall, Ontario

Position type: Part‑Time

Salary range: $19.00 to $22.06 plus bonuses

Shift: Friday, Monday to Friday; Saturday and Sunday

Schedule: 06:00 – 18:00 / 18:00 – 06:00

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring that only authorized persons can enter.
  • Conduct regular patrols of data centre premises to identify and resolve security risks.
  • Incident response: respond to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
  • Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
  • Reporting: maintain accurate security logs and incident reports; escape issues as necessary.
  • Compliance: ensure compliance with provincial and local security regulations.
  • Team collaboration: work closely with other safety staff and customer personnel to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
  • 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a security guard or in a similar environment.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, including the ability to produce reports or communicate with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Must pass a full 5‑year background check and have a clean security record.
  • Computer skills required: basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reports and documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with video surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems and alarm monitoring software.
  • Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
  • Must possess a valid Montreal Security License (BSP).
  • First aid card required.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Certificate of use is mandatory.
