Job description

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Security Guard to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety and protection of our buildings, employees, and visitors across multiple sites. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and capable of responding swiftly and professionally to a variety of situations, from routine security checks to emergency incidents.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the General Manager of Facilities
  • General building security conducting regular spot checks for multiple sites, parking lots and surveillance
  • Complete and maintain daily logs
  • Respond to alarm situations such as fire, door breaches and alarms
  • Conduct investigations such as lost person, occurrences where loss or damage has taken place, and first aid
  • Liaison with all emergency agencies including Police, Fire and Ambulance
  • Provide escorts and security assistance to employees if required
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education from a Security Program preferred.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Must have a Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License.
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule of 10:00 pm – 6:30 am
