Job summary

TD Bank Group is seeking a highly motivated security architect to design, develop, and support next-generation banking and distributed ledger platforms in Toronto, Canada. The role emphasizes identity, application security, and cryptographic architecture with emphasis on wallets, transactions, and workflow orchestration.

You will collaborate with architects, analysts, QA, and platform teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of enterprise software development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in financial services or banking security environments.
  • Expert knowledge of security architecture for enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade security architecture.

Work Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 Line of Business: Technology Solutions Pay Details: $125,500 - $148,000 CAD This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance. Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on security architect to design, develop, and support next‑generation banking and distributed ledger platforms. The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in identity, application security, and cryptographic architecture while contributing to the modernization of enterprise banking solutions. Experience with wallets, transactions, and workflow orchestration platforms is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage. The role requires collaboration with architects, business analysts, quality engineering teams, and platform teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade security architecture.
  • Design security for microservices and APIs that support transaction processing, workflow orchestration, ledger, liquidity, and payments capabilities.
  • Design highly available and performant solutions following cloud‑native design principles.
  • Participate in system design, technical architecture reviews, and code reviews.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and auditability across systems.
  • Operational guidance for CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
  • Extensive experience using REST, OAuth, and OIDC.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and the ability to lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand‑ups.

Expert knowledge of the technical environment/ tools (e.g., user environment, applications, software, hardware, programming languages and operating systems) in own area. Experience in financial services, banking, payments, or treasury platforms is highly desirable.
