Job summary

Stewart McKelvey in Halifax seeks a Lawyer to join the Corporate team as part of our Securities group. The successful candidate will represent clients at all stages of development, from startups to publicly-traded companies, and advise on capital markets, regulatory compliance, and governance.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in public/private financings, venture capital, listings, and M&A governance, and can engage senior executives while managing multiple priorities under tight

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in public and private financings, including IPOs and private placements.
• Experience with venture capital financings across seed to IPO/ acquisition stages.
• Knowledge of stock exchange listing and inter-tier graduation applications.
• Experience with equity-based compensation plans and take-over bids.
• Securities law approvals in M&A, continuous disclosure, insider reporting and governance.
• Ability to communicate with senior executives and manage multiple priorities on tight timelines.
