Job description

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra has openings for two Section Viola players on a tenure track basis. The employment will commence at a mutually agreed date following the auditions. The positions offer a minimum annual salary of $85,226 and a 43-week season, which includes four weeks of vacation.Auditions will take place on November 23 and 24, 2026. Candidates will be required to prepare a selection of solo and orchestral repertoire, including pieces by composers such as Stamitz, Bartók, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff, among others. Sight-reading may also be requested during the audition process.
