Job summary

A healthcare organization in Winnipeg is looking for individuals to join their Security Operations team. This position requires a completed high school education and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Candidates should possess one year of related experience, preferably at the Health Sciences Centre, and be capable of handling confidential information. Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • One year previous related experience required, preferably at the Health Sciences Centre.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Typing 50 wpm required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) required.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Knowledge of Health Sciences Centre (HSC) Payroll Coding and Data Entry systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Incident Reporting and Information Management System (Perspective) preferred.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written) required.
  • Must exercise discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
