Khalsa Secondary School in Surrey, BC is seeking a Robotics teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, starting September 1, 2026. The role includes IB/MYP and AP-level robotics courses, plus ADST modules, with emphasis on safety and student engagement.

Applicants must hold BC Teaching Certification and a Bachelor's degree; a Master’s degree is preferred. Eligible to work in Canada; Canadian teaching experience is valued. This is a full-time, 10-month contract with competitive compensation.

Job description

Khalsa Secondary School is seeking candidates for Robotics teacher for our Sikh faith - based school located on 10589 124 Street. Academic teachers do not have to be observers of the faith. Teachers from all diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply! We are an IB MYP authorized World School and an AP Level 2 school. We are a growing school with a lot of opportunities! Our teachers are supported and have a prep in each semester.

Currently, we have one Robotics subject teacher opening for the new 2026-2027 school year starting September 1, 2026.

We recognize North American teaching experience.

Position 1: Robotics subject Position

Start Date: September 1, 2026.

• IB / Regular Robotics 10 (1 block)
• IB / Regular Robotics 9 (1 block)
• ADST - Entrepreneurship and Marketing 9 (1 block)
• ADST - Electronics and Robotics 8 (2blocks)
• IB Robotics 8 (1 block)
• Engineering 11 / 12 (2blocks)
• Robotics 11 / 12 (1 block)

Salary: Starting salary of $6600 per month

*Only offered to CoQ teachers or teachers who have a completed application with the Teacher Certification Branch for a CoQ or Subject Restricted Certificate (in the appropriate teaching areas)

**Teaching experience in Canada is recognized for a possible higher starting salary for CoQ teachers

Qualification Requirements

• Valid Teaching Certification in BC (Teaching certificates in other Canadian provinces and territories are acceptable as long as an application has been completed for a BC Teaching Certificate)
• You must be eligible to be employed in Canada. Special attention will be given to applicants who are certified to or can be certified to teach inBritish Columbia.
• Preferrable: Teaching experience within Canada
• Ability to work full time
• Demonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty required
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives including the needs and abilities of students required
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents required
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required
