The UCDSB is currently hiring a permanent Secondary Teacher. Although considered a permanent position, all positions are subject to the annual staffing process as per outlined in the OSSTF Collective Agreement. A Teacher cannot hold more than 1.0 FTE in a semester.

The UCDSB requires your current and two most recent direct supervisors.
If your experience is in a day-to-day occasional capacity, ensure that you list the length of time that you worked for that Supervisor and whether the assignment was casual day-to-day or in a long-term occasional capacity.
Placement Teacher References: If providing a Placement Teacher as a reference, the UCDSB will require confirmation and approval from the Principal at the Placement School that the deferred reference (Placement Teacher) is approved to provide reference on behalf of the Principal.
The UCDSB does not accept colleagues or personal relationships as references.
Positions are filled in accordance with the OSSTF Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement and/or PPM 165 where applicable.
The UCDSB selection process includes a review of required qualifications, interview and assessment process, and reference checks. All employment offers are conditional on candidates providing a valid criminal record check for the vulnerable sector.
