Job summary

Rocky View Foundation is seeking a Second Cook to deliver high-quality meals for our residents, including seniors with specific dietary needs. The role requires collaboration with the kitchen team to plan nutritious menus, maintain food safety standards, and showcase culinary creativity.

You will prepare meals, contribute to menu development, and ensure timely service while upholding sanitation and equipment maintenance responsibilities in a supportive not-for-profit housing environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and cooking according to planned menus, ensuring nutritious, flavorful, and visually appealing meals.
• Provide input and suggestions for new menu items and recipe improvements.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment following food safety guidelines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions and coordinate with Head Cook or maintenance.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Communicate effectively with F&B staff to ensure coordination and timely service.
