Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Seasonal Works Superintendent to lead our grounds maintenance operations throughout the year. This role includes overseeing landscaping projects during the warmer months and managing snow and ice removal operations during the winter season.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping operations including mowing, planting, pruning, irrigation, and hardscaping
• Manage crews, assign tasks, and ensure high-quality workmanship
• Monitor equipment use and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues
• Track project progress, materials, and labor cost
• Plan and oversee snow and ice removal operations for commercial and residential properties
• Coordinate snow removal crews and equipment deployment during weather events
• Monitor weather forecasts and prepare response plans
• Ensure safe and timely clearing of roads, walkways, and parking lots
• Maintain snow removal equipment and manage salt/sand inventory
• Respond to emergency calls and ensure 24/7 readiness during snow events

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience managing snow removal operations is strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Knowledge of landscaping and snow removal equipment and best practices
