Seasonal Tanker Pilots - AT802A Air Tractor - Fredericton

Excellent Opportunity - Apply Today! Forest Protection Limited is inviting applications for seasonal air tanker pilots for the 2026 season running from 7 April 2026 to 15 September 2026. Based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and reporting to the Chief Pilot, pilots will operate during the wildfire season and fulfill the following tasks:

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Pilot Air Tractor AT802 aircraft during fire suppression operations in New Brunswick, on deployment to other jurisdictions, and on aerial application projects, as required.
  • Operate assigned aircraft and perform all key job duties and other tasks in accordance with FPL’s Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects.
  • Complete required preflight and postflight paperwork in a timely manner and report all items requiring maintenance as soon as possible.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the aircraft.
QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have:

  • Commercial Pilot License-Fixed wing.
  • Obtained at least 1500 hours of pilot in command time and 300 hours tailwheel experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience with turbine engines and low altitude operations like aerial application or fire suppression.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Conditions of employment are as below:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and are required to obtain a Criminal Record Check.
  • Have a valid driver's license for travel within and outside the province.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.
  • Have a valid Passport.
