Job summary

Pay: $28.23 / hour

Plant location: Hope, BC

Type: Seasonal contract until September 15 2026

Schedule: Rotating day, evening and night shifts

  • Slow season schedule: 5 days on (8-hour shifts), 2 days off
  • Peak season schedule: 4 days on (12-hour shifts), 4 days off
Responsibilities
  • Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, and wrappers
  • Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as needed
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, downtime
  • Ensure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checks – Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading raw materials
  • Interact with team members, quality assurance and maintenance to maximize output and efficiency
  • Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and Good Manufacturing Practices are met
  • Adhere to all required Health & Safety requirements
  • Work as a team with other operators to ensure no line stoppages and improve operations
  • Cross training to perform work on other lines or in other production areas as needed
  • Provide vacation coverage to team members as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in production within manufacturing, ideally in the food or beverage industry or a clean manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated communication and math skills that show your ability to communicate and follow oral and written instructions and procedures and have the potential to progress into more senior line roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a fast-paced team environment
  • This role is on our standard Continental Shift rotation schedule. Preference will be given to candidates with previous rotating shift experience.
  • Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to be able to occasionally hand stack cases when require
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
