Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Clinical and Health Scientist - Development Operations for our pharmaceutical client in Canada. This role focuses on analytical testing, method development and GMP compliance to support life‑changing drug products.

You will perform HPLC, dissolution and physical testing, document results in ALCOA‑compliant records, and help with method validation and investigations. Rotating shifts may be required in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience in a laboratory, pharmaceutical, scientific, or research environment.
• Experience performing analytical testing using HPLC and related laboratory instrumentation.
• Understanding of GMP and pharmaceutical quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document all experimental data in accordance with ALCOA principles.
• Perform analytical testing including HPLC, dissolution, and physical testing.
• Execute testing activities according to approved analytical methods and SOPs.
• Utilize laboratory and data management systems including Empower, NuGenesis, LIMS, SmartLab, Word, and Excel.
• Troubleshoot analytical systems and resolve system suitability issues.
• Support method development, validation protocols, and validation bench work.
• Conduct excipient compatibility studies (ECS).
• Investigate and report Out of Specification results.
• Assist with laboratory investigations and root-cause analysis.
