Rate: $24.00/hour CAD

The Role

Availability: Full-time shift with the ability to work mornings or afternoons and occasional overtime, holidays, and weekends.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the transport, retrieval, and storage of pallets within the warehouse/facility. You will be accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and will perform general warehouse duties. This role focuses on delivering materials and products promptly to production rooms/distribution centre and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse. What you do (responsibilities):

• Practice safe work and identify unsafe situations
• Operate forklift and material handling equipment safely, with pre-driving inspection
• Transport materials according to set standards
• Log issues with forklift and report to supervisors
• Identify and report faulty or damaged racking; log issues and report to supervisors
• Perform water maintenance on forklift when required
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts or material handling equipment
• Deliver materials to the appropriate location
• Ensure all materials and skids have correct labels and information
• Shipping duties including building, wrapping pallets, stocking raw materials
• Retrieve and deliver materials and moulds for production with accurate labelling
• Use handheld scanner to transfer inventory accurately
• Stock and replenish shelves, racks, cases, and bins using FIFO
• General warehouse activities including loading, unloading, sorting, and moving products
• Production duties: produce high-quality Lush products, with accurate filling/packing/labeling to meet production demands
• Assist Inventory Controllers with counts and organization
• Conduct daily inventory counts and investigate discrepancies
• Basic tasks in AX (or equivalent) as needed
• Support onboarding and safety SOP adherence for new or returning staff
• Adhere to department and company policies for quality, cleanliness, and safety
• Perform general housekeeping and equipment cleaning

Who you are (qualifications)

Required:

• Current Lush employee
• Capable of performing general labour duties (Distribution Associate)
• Able to perform 8-hour physical work, on your feet, and lift 50 pounds
• Fit for standing, bending, pulling, and pushing
• Flexible to work within Distribution, Digital and Manufacturing as needed
• Operate basic warehouse equipment (picking carts, handheld scanners, pump-trucks, etc.)
• Strong multitasking and prioritization
• Effective communication skills and teamwork
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking English for communication across platforms
• Open to feedback; flexible to work all shifts, some holidays, overtime and weekends
• Commitment to health & safety and good manufacturing practices
• Ability to navigate MHE safely

Preferred:

• At least 1 year relevant work experience
• Valid forklift certification(s)
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Experience with counterbalance forklifts
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics AX
• Experience with reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts
