Job summary

A leading forest management company in Ontario is seeking a Seasonal Forestry Silviculture Assistant to support operations through data collection and monitoring of silviculture projects. The ideal candidate will have enrollment in a forestry-related program and experience in related fields. This role requires a valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety and environmental standards. Position spans May to September 2026.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of related experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Promote and provide a safe workplace.
• Comply with corporate regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor treeplant contractors and perform quality control.
• Support aerial tending and other silvicultural programs.
• Provide support to implement Forest Management Plans.
• Support forest operations team with surveys and inspections.
• Develop rapport between contractors and management.
