Job summary

A leading foodservice provider is seeking Waitstaff for a seasonal part-time role in Peterborough, Ontario. You will take food and beverage orders and ensure a pleasant dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate will have previous food service experience, exceptional communication skills, and must possess a valid Food Handler Certificate. This position involves working in a team and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.The role offers a starting hourly rate of $17.60.

Qualifications

• You must have previous experience in the food services industry.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent is required.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact well with others.
• Physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items, and stand/walk for majority of shift.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and efficiently deliver items to guests.
• Greet guests warmly and follow established steps of service.
• Maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Advise guests on menu items and accommodate reasonable requests.
• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor.
• Ensure dining room is set up and kept clean during service.
