Job summary

FedEx Canada in Barrie, ON is hiring for seasonal courier positions. This temporary role lasts up to 12 weeks with Saturday availability required. You will perform pick-up and delivery on an assigned route, ensure packages are properly labeled, and use tracking systems to report stops and missorts.

A Full Valid Class G license is mandatory; G2 is not acceptable. No prior experience required, though customer service is preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route.
• Accomplish accurate and timely selection and inspection of packages and report stop counts/missorts.
• Follow courier best practices and secure company/customer property and equipment.
• Seek additional business from current customers and inform sales dept. of leads.
• Ensure correct labeling and neat paperwork and adequate shipping materials.
• Operate computerized tracking/dispatch systems with correct data input.
• Answer customer questions about FedEx Canada services and keep customers informed of requirements.
• Operate vehicle safely and comply with government and company procedures.
• May load/unload aircraft or containers as workload dictates.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Special Note: This is a temporary position of up to 12 weeks based on business and operational needs
This is an interview position.
To provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route; to check all shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service; to provide related customer service functions.

• Provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages while representing the company in a professional manner and maintains a neat and clean appearance consistent with the company's public image
• Accomplishes accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and missorts
• Adheres to Courier Best Practices, operating procedures, loads van and plans route for efficient delivery and pick-up of packages and ensures proper security of Federal Express and customer property, such as packages, equipment and vehicles.
• Seeks additional business from current customers. Informs sales department of sales leads and market changes.
• Ensures that packages conform to Federal Express Canada features of service, that proper labelling is provided, and that all paperwork is neat, accurate and ensures customers have adequate supply of Federal Express shipping materials.
• Operates computerized tracking and dispatch systems ensuring input of correct information
• Answers customer's questions on Federal Express Canada's features of service and continually keeps customers informed about the company and its services as well as Canada, US and International requirements.
• Demonstrates proficiency in features of service and equipment.
• Operates vehicle safely and efficiently, complying with all government regulations and company procedures.
• May perform aircraft and/or container loading/unloading and sorting and scanning of packages, as location and workload dictate.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Minimum Experience

• None – No experience required
• Customer Service – 1 year (preferred)
• Customer orientation

Preferred Qualifications

Shift 1: Monday to Friday Start Time 10:00 am. Shift 2: Tuesday to Saturday Start Time 10:00 am. ** MUST be Available to work SATURDAYS** Must Have a Full Valid Class G License. G2 NOT ACCEPTABLE - Job posting date: 16-SEP-2026.
