Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Associate in Newmarket, Ontario. You’ll be the first face of the brand for growing families, greet customers warmly, and help them navigate baby essentials and school-day prep.

You’ll join an inclusive environment that values skill and talent and supports personal growth. Responsibilities include assisting customers, resolving issues, handling omnichannel requests, processing transactions, replenishing stock, and promoting promotions and loyalty programs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist with product styles and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues confidently and proactively in a busy store.
• Assist with omnichannel needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point of sale transactions.
• Perform floor replenishment and assist with shipments as needed.
• Describe current promotions and the brand loyalty program to customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe store and minimize losses through excellent service.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Compensation:

Compensation for this position ranges from $17.95 - $17.95 per hour based on experience and location.
