Job summary

Carter's Canada is seeking friendly retail team members to welcome customers and promote our baby and children's apparel. You will play a key role in delivering a positive shopping experience and supporting store operations.

As part of Carter's, you will resolve customer inquiries, process transactions, and help with promotions and stock, while upholding safety and standards across the floor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail/customer service preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist with product styles and benefits.
• Resolve issues for customers and balance multiple customers in a busy setting.
• Assist with omnichannel needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Process point-of-sale transactions accurately.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the brand loyalty program.
• Maintain a safe, clean store and minimize loss.

What you'll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we'd love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
