This full-time seasonal role runs a 1 week on/1 week off rotation from mid-September to May 1, 2027 with potential extension, focused on runway and airfield surface maintenance. Key duties include SNIC snow and ice control, operating heavy equipment, drainage/erosion work, and ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Heavy Equipment Operator Certification required.
• High school diploma or higher.
• 3–5 years of aviation industry experience.
• Willing to travel and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Security clearance – Criminal Record Check required.
• License: Class 1/3 with Q Endorsement (or provincial equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide SNIC snow and ice control on airside and groundside.
• Operate site and heavy equipment vehicles as required.
• Maintain drainage, erosion control, and airfield surfaces to a high standard.
• Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and client requirements.
• Monitor environment, wildlife, and general cleanliness of equipment and grounds.
• Will travel; camp accommodations and flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton.
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
