We use Customer Generation to cut through the noise and drive pipeline, SQLs, and growth for SaaS and B2B brands across Paid Media, SEO, CRO, RevOps, and Go-To-Market Strategy. We move fast, think boldly, and hire people who challenge the status quo to spark demand for bold, innovative brands. If you live for performance and want your work to mean something, you’ll fit right in.

We’re shaping the future of marketing and are always looking for talented professionals who elevate search visibility, develop compelling content, and deliver value to audiences. As we grow, we seek forward-thinking individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are obsessed with analytics and storytelling, and want to make their mark in B2B tech and SaaS marketing. If you’re ready to explore future opportunities and be part of a team that values creativity, strategy, and results, we’d love to connect with you.

About The Role

The Content Strategist is a crucial, client-facing role responsible for day-to-day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders. The Strategist works primarily with Enterprise clients and should have a deep understanding of their service line and its impact on other areas of the business to create a holistic marketing strategy. Internally, the role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.

What You 2ll Do
  1. Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Develop custom strategies and implement best practices to achieve NSMs. Build initial client strategy during project phase and continuously optimize based on client goals, campaigns, and performance while adhering to Directive best practices. Note: work with Associate Director (AsD) when roadblocks arise; craft creative briefs and content campaigns informed by competitor and audience insights. Core best practices include LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Content Production.
    1. Collaborate with Associate Director on strategy progression.
    2. Develop briefs and campaigns anchored in insights.
  2. Goal Setting: Use available data to set client goals during engagement. Goals are reviewed and approved with the AsD in meetings with the client. Data sources include Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs.
  3. Project Management: Ensure strategy execution and clear task ownership within the team and with the client. Use Asana for task management; delegate tasks to Specialists and clients; ensure timely completion. In pods with Project Managers, partner to create, assign, and meet due dates and maintain client communication. Collaborate with content writers and designers to deliver campaigns on time and to client standards.
  4. Internal and External Communication: Act as the main interface between clients and the team. Build strong client relationships beyond deliverables and proactively communicate with clients and internal leadership about timelines, progress, and potential opportunities. Use channels such as Slack to communicate between bi-weekly meetings and deliverables on a regular cadence.
  5. Reporting: Regularly report progress and impact to clients. Cadence includes bi-weekly client meetings (report NSM progress and deliverables), monthly reports, quarterly reports, and two bi-annual business reviews.
What You 2ll Bring
  • Proven track record in implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
  • Analytical insight: ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics
  • Strong communication skills: comfortable client-facing and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
  • Proven organizational, project, and time management skills
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content
  • Agency experience
  • B2B tech and/or SaaS experience
Goals
  1. NSM Attainment: 100%
  2. MRR Retention: 96%
  3. CSAT > 4.2
  4. Upsells / Cross-sells / Referrals
    1. Strategists should identify opportunities for clients to grow with Directive (e.g., expanding to another service line or increasing budgets).
    2. Referrals: ask at moments like a new point of contact or a CSAT milestone.
