Job summary

GAMARC Consulting in Vancouver seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to support daily operations of our seafood processing facility. You will work closely with the Plant Manager and production teams to uphold quality, streamline workflows, and lead production staff to meet goals.

This hands-on leadership role requires seafood processing experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced setting. English fluency is required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior seafood processing experience is required.
• Strong leadership capabilities and problem-solving skills to inspire and guide teams.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages (Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations in collaboration with the Plant Manager and Production Manager.
• Develop and coordinate production schedules, managing material availability and labor needs.
• Maximize equipment and workforce utilization to enhance output and control costs.
• Gather, track, and evaluate production data to drive improvements.
• Uphold high-quality standards and promote safe processing practices.
• Mentor, train, and collaborate with production staff to foster a skilled team.
• Support logistics for inbound/outbound products to ensure smooth workflow.
