Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking School Nurses to deliver personalized, high‑quality care in the Greater Hamilton Area. Travel to schools and community sites is required, with Monday to Friday shifts.

As a School Nurse, you will be the community's nursing care expert, using training and preceptorship programs to support clients, families, and your professional growth while maintaining the highest standards. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current CNO registration; 1–2 years'

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (CNO).
• Additional certifications (e.g., CNA, LEAP, deSouza) are assets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized high‑quality care to clients in the community.

• Focus on care time with efficient scheduling to minimize travel time.

Education

Location: Schools and community in the Greater Hamilton Area. Travel to schools and community is required

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 4-8 hour shifts

What You’ll Do

As a School Nurse, you’ll play a hands-on role delivering personalized high-quality care to your clients in their community. As a primary care planner to your clients, you have the autonomy and flexibility to provide a holistic approach to care while increasing your skills through our comprehensive training, mentorship and preceptorship programs.

You will teach, delegate tasks and functions to different levels of clients and family members while maintaining our industry’s highest level of practice.

You are the nursing care expert for your community. With our efficient work schedules, you will be focused more on care time and less travel time.

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Experience

• 1–2 years of recent relevant nursing experience, preferably in a community setting
• Experience with palliative, pediatrics, diabetes management, g/j tube, trach/vent care is an asset

Other Requirements

• Valid G2 or G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel within the Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions
