An esteemed educational institution is seeking a candidate for a role focused on cross-cultural educational experiences. The successful applicant will guide students in immersive communities, facilitate reflections on their learning, and support presentations in the fall term. Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in social sciences or humanities and experience in teaching and mentoring at the university level. Strong inter-cultural communication skills are essential, and experience abroad is a valued asset.
This is a cross-cultural educational experience where students travel in small teams to countries where the culture differs from theirs. For a minimum of 10 weeks, they immerse themselves and complete long‑term placements with organizations that work to improve their local communities. Students contribute to efforts to:
A rigorous preparation and re‑entry process as well as a set of assignments facilitated by a UNB faculty member help students go through a structured process of inquiry and reflection to build knowledge through experience. A presentation during the subsequent fall term concludes the internship. (Students cannot receive credit for both RCLP3046 and LEAD3046).
