A local school board in Ontario is seeking a School Nutrition Coordinator/Cook responsible for coordinating and promoting nutrition programs. Position: School Nutrition Coordinator/Cook

Hours of Work: 1.5 hours per day, flexible

Rate of Pay: $26.14/hour

Position Summary

This position focuses on implementing and promoting the principles and resources of the Student Nutrition Program (SNP) through the Northwestern Ontario Health Unit (NWHU). The coordinator is to manage the planning, purchasing, and preparation of healthy food options for programs such as breakfast, lunch, and snack programs by following healthy food guidelines and recommendations.

Qualifications

Ontario High School Diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with Canada’s Food Guide is an asset. Valid Food Handler Certification is an asset. Certification opportunity available.
