Job summary

St. Margaret’s School (SMS) is seeking a Regular Bus Driver to provide safe transportation for students in the Greater Victoria area. This bargaining unit position sits within the Professional Employees Association and requires a Class 4 or 2 license and a clean driver record.

20 hours per week with a starting wage of $30.52–$34.14 per hour, depending on years of service. The school is located in Victoria, BC and notes a strong safety culture with on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 4 or Class 2 Driver's License.
• 5 years of verifiable safe driving experience.
• Submission of a current driver record (Driver Abstract from ICBC).
• Completion of a Criminal Records Check for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and responsibly for student transport.
• Respect staff, students, and equipment.
• Promote and maintain a culture of safety.
• Perform daily safety checks and bus cleanliness.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
