Job summary

Switzer-Carty Transportation in Ontario is hiring a part-time Driver to help get students to school safely. No prior school bus driving experience is required; we provide free in-house training and cover your required medical exam costs.

Must hold a valid Ontario Class G licence with a clean driving record and be able to pass pre-trip and post-trip inspections. The role offers flexible hours, community impact, and benefits after a short probation.

• Ability to pass required vehicle inspections and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Help students get to school safely on a part-time schedule.

What You’ll Need

• A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence and a good driving record
• Completion of the required commercial driver medical examination
• A strong commitment to student safety
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children
• The ability to complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• The ability to meet applicable vision and hearing standards for commercial driving
• The physical ability to carry out essential safety duties, including assisting with an emergency evacuation of students, as required
• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search
