Job summary

A regional healthcare authority in Winnipeg is seeking a Scheduling Assistant to support staff scheduling functions. The ideal candidate will have experience using computerized staffing systems and must possess strong communication skills. This is an in-person role at St. Boniface Hospital, requiring Grade 12 education and proficiency in Excel. Annual Base Hours: 2015

Experience
  • Grade 12, or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year experience working with ESP or other computerized staffing system performing extensive staffing and scheduling functions for an organization.
  • Customer service experience where the primary function was acting as a direct point of contact for customers via telephone and/or in person required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high demand environment required.
  • Experience with Excel required.

Note: Preference will be given to those candidates with previous staff scheduling experience.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12, or equivalent required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of various common software applications including spreadsheet, word processing, database and email applications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to expertly use ESP effectively and efficiently to replace/schedule staff.

  • Ability to adhere to and meet strict deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
