Job description
Scheduler and Project Controls Advisor

St. John's, Newfoundland – Temporary onshore role supporting a multi-year subsea installation project. Responsible for developing and managing project schedules, analysing progress, and reporting performance across engineering and construction phases. Requires expertise in Primavera and SAP, strong communication skills, and experience in offshore oil & gas. Must collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support project close‑out. Estimated start: December 2025; potential extension to Q4 2027.

A typical day
  • Develop and manage schedules for a multi‑year subsea equipment fabrication and installation project.
  • Deliver project‑specific planning and scheduling services in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Analyse and report on project progress and performance across engineering and construction phases.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and reporting on the installation contractor’s schedule.
  • Advise the project team on scheduling strategies and best practices.
  • Support the creation of project management and controls documentation.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to ensure effective stewardship processes.
  • Facilitate the capture and integration of lessons learned, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Successful candidates will have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, or Engineering, with 10+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent technical background).
  • Proven experience in offshore oil & gas projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Primavera or equivalent scheduling software, and SAP.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence third‑party contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi‑functional team environment.
  • Highly adaptable, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent presentation and reporting capabilities.
