Job summary

Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join the Project Controls team in our Pickering office. The successful candidate will be involved in the planning and scheduling functions for engineering, procurement, maintenance updates and analysis of the integrated schedules. More specifically, all candidates will be assessed against the following education and experience background requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Hands on planning, scheduling, administration and controls. Involved in all planning and scheduling functions including the development, maintenance, updates and analysis of the integrated schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction projects;
  • Ensures that regular update reports detailing status, performance, critical paths, and analysis; are provided to the responsible managers;
  • Monitors and analyzes resource utilization;
  • Use of Primavera P6 scheduling software; Microsoft Project
  • Interface with Customer on schedule integration and other issues as required
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in project controls with intermediate to senior level experience in planning, scheduling and costing is considered an asset
  • A university or college graduate with a Finance, Mathematics or accounting background or an equivalent combination of studies and related experience is preferred
  • Have extensive experience working on large projects preferably in the Energy sector;
  • Be proficient with MS Project and Primavera P6, as well as MS Access, Excel, and Word;
  • Have exceptional organizational skills and strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Work well in a diverse team environment;
  • Previous experience in an engineering consulting environment providing services to utilities industry would be considered an asset
  • Engineering or Technical educational background is considered an asset
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Previous nuclear (OPG or Bruce Power) is considered an asset
  • Strong leadership and team‑management skills.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
