Job summary

itec group Inc. in Oakville is seeking a SCADA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial automation systems in a manufacturing setting.

You will program PLCs, configure HMIs, and troubleshoot SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware/AVEVA, or Rockwell FactoryTalk, while collaborating with maintenance and production teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• P.Eng designation required.
• 3+ years of experience with SCADA and industrial automation in manufacturing.
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware/AVEVA, Rockwell FactoryTalk, or similar.
• Experience with HMI development and industrial communication protocols.
• Solid understanding of PLCs, industrial controls, electrical systems, and automation networks.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Engineering degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA systems and industrial control applications.

• Monitor and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment, control systems, and industrial networks.
• Develop and modify SCADA screens, control logic, alarms, trends, and data collection systems.
• Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, HMIs, databases, and other plant-floor systems.
• Perform system diagnostics and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and automation.
• Assist with commissioning, testing, and implementation of new automation and control systems.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams as required.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 + paid OT, benefits, RRSP match
