Job summary

Structures STROSS Inc. seeks an on-site woodworking technician to set up, program and operate woodworking machines. The role involves fabricating and repairing wooden parts for furniture and fixtures, gluing and veneering, and reading blueprints and specifications with attention to detail.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of related experience, be able to read drawings, and work at our physical location in Canada. On-site work only; free parking and team-building activities offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of woodworking equipment experience.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• Read blueprint, schemas and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines.
• Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products.
• Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to surfaces.
• Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products.
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment and replace parts as required.
