Job summary

The Ian Martin Group seeks an experienced SAP Solution Architect in Oshawa to lead end-to-end architecture for modernization initiatives. You will shape solution designs, drive alignment between business requirements and SAP platforms, and oversee integration, data, and security across complex programs.

Ideal candidates have hands-on SAP expertise, require strong stakeholder management, and can coordinate with internal teams, system integrators, and vendors to deliver scalable SAP

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as SAP Solution Architect or equivalent senior SAP architecture role.
• Led solution architecture for at least one large-scale SAP implementation or transformation program.
• Full-lifecycle SAP projects: discovery, fit-to-standard, design, build, data migration, testing, cutover, deployment, hypercare, operations.
• Hands-on SAP expertise covering configurations, design reviews, and guiding delivery teams.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and modules such as Finance, Asset Management, Ariba/Concur/Fieldglass; experience with integration and security designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture across SAP modernization initiatives.
• Provide architecture leadership and align business requirements with SAP platforms and enterprise architecture strategy.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, SI partners, and vendors to deliver solutions.

Job Overview

Our client s seeking an experienced, hands-on SAP Solution Architect to lead solution design across a portfolio of SAP modernization initiatives. The role will provide end-to-end architecture leadership for SAP transformation programs, ensuring alignment among business requirements, SAP platforms, integration, security, data, operations, and Client's enterprise architecture strategy. The successful candidate will have proven experience with large-scale SAP implementations, hands-on SAP expertise, and the ability to lead business stakeholders, internal technology teams, systems integrators, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an SAP Solution Architect, SAP Technical Architect, SAP Functional Architect, or equivalent senior SAP architecture role.
• Experience leading solution architecture for at least one large-scale enterprise SAP implementation or transformation program.
• Proven full-lifecycle implementation experience covering discovery, fit-to-standard, design, build, integration, data migration, testing, cutover, deployment, hypercare, and transition to operations.
• Strong hands-on SAP experience, including the ability to evaluate SAP configurations, review detailed solution designs, validate technical and functional decisions, and guide delivery teams.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and experience with SAP Finance, SAP Asset Management, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, and/or SAP Fieldglass.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / Enterprise Integration Suite and SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-non-SAP integration design.
• Experience with API-led, event-driven, batch, and file-based integrations, as well as integration security, monitoring, and support processes.
• Demonstrated experience with RISE with SAP and SAP cloud or hybrid delivery models.
• Experience working with systems integrators and third-party vendors in complex, multi-vendor environments.
• Experience using LeanIX for architecture documentation, portfolio management, dependency mapping, and transformation roadmaps.
• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and architecture-governance skills.
