Job Overview

About the Role:

  • As an SAP Plant Maintenance (EAM) Functional Lead at OPG, you will play a mission-critical leadership role in the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. Your expertise will drive operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement as part of our client’s Strategic Transformation Roadmap (STR).
Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Solution Delivery:
  • Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and EAM modules, ensuring alignment with OPG business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Provide functional leadership and mentorship to a team of EAM consultants and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high performance environment.
  • Take ownership of asset management workstreams, managing deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EAM solution design, issue resolution, and escalation.
  • Business Process Optimization & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Analyze and translate complex asset management requirements into SAP-enabled solutions, ensuring robust process alignment and integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and solution prototyping to drive continuous improvement in maintenance and asset management operations.
  • Facilitate workshops, training, and knowledge transfer sessions for end users and business process owners.
  • Ensure plant maintenance and asset management processes adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and our client’s governance standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify transformation opportunities and ensure measurable value delivery.
  • Project Management & Agile Delivery:
  • Work closely with project managers, scrum masters, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of EAM workstreams.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, project planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support testing, defect resolution, and cutover planning for SAP PM/EAM modules.
  • Track and report on progress, risks, and issues related to EAM functional delivery.
  • Continuous Learning & Thought Leadership:
  • Stay current with SAP S/4HANA EAM innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned within the SAP and our client’s asset management communities.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a self-driven attitude in identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving project success
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP Plant Maintenance/EAM functional consulting, including configuration, implementation, and support.
  • Proven experience leading asset management solution delivery in SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments, with integration to other SAP and third-party systems.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance, reliability, work management, asset lifecycle, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and guiding functional teams.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology and agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • SAP EAM/PM certification(s) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics, and SAP data migration tools is an asset.
