Our banking client is looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant to support Finance initiatives. The role involves analyzing business requirements, collaborating with technology teams, managing vendors, and ensuring SAP solutions align with business needs. It is a 12 month contract role with 2-3 days in office in Downtown, Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze defects, recommend solutions, and provide alternatives.
• Understand business requirements and propose SAP solutions.
• Document functional specifications and manage vendor relationships.
• Act as the liaison between business and technology teams.
• Assess change impacts, risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support multiple projects as needed.

Must-Have Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in project environments, including SAP in banking.
• Strong knowledge of systems development & testing life cycles.
• Expertise in SAP Functional Consulting, S/4HANA Finance, and Enterprise Data Structure.
• Production support & error handling experience.
• Experience leveraging SAP's controls, security roles, and data quality framework.

Nice to have:

• SAP MDG, GL Accounting (S/4HANA GL & AR), Multi-GAAP & Multi-currency accounting.
• SAP Close & Financial Consolidation, FPSL, and Group Reporting.
• SAP Fiori, SAC & CDS View Reporting.
• Expense Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and PAPM.
• Banking industry experience is a plus.
