Your role and responsibilities

As a Consultant Intern at IBM, you will assist clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions, such as SAP, to meet client needs. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value, wherever needed. In your role, you may be responsible for:

  • Assist clients in selection, implementation, and support of packaged software solutions.

  • Support strategic recommendations and leverage business knowledge to drive solutions for clients and their management.

  • Facilitate or support workshops, meetings, project management and stakeholder interviews.

  • Develop process maps to understand As-Is and To-Be scenarios

This position resides in Toronto/Ottawa/Montreal/Calgary/Vancouver and is a 4-month work term commencing in January 2027. All applicants must be eligible to work full-time in Canada and enrolled full-time in an eligible post-secondary program. It is mandatory that applicants return to full-time studies upon completion of the work term. Candidates pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degrees are eligible. MBA and PhD candidates are not eligible for this opportunity.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Assist clients in selection, implementation, and support of packaged software solutions.

  • Customer Service or Client Interaction Experience: Familiarity with engaging and managing customer or client relationships.

  • Presentation or Sales Pitch Experience: Experience delivering presentations or pitches to peers or clients, showcasing communication and persuasion skills.

  • Effective Client Management: Experience in understanding and addressing client needs and expectations.

  • Ability to translate business solutions into technical requirements.
