Responsibilities

• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of all production/processing equipment and facility according to the Sanitation SOPs.
• Cleaning and maintaining the interior of the plant, including floors, walls, ceilings, overhead pipes and fixtures.
• Cleaning all processing equipment used in the preparation and packaging of further processed products.
• Disassembles and reassembles production equipment as required for proper cleaning.
• Adheres to Company policies and HACCP regulations.
• Removes inedible product and garbage; ensures a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.

STARTING WAGE RATE: $20.00 per hour.

SIX MONTHS WAGE RATE: $22.50 per hour.

FULL RATE AT 12 MONTHS: $25.00 per hour.

SHIFT PREMIUM: $0.60 per hour.

HOURS: 9:30 pm - 6:00 am (straight shift), Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, the Sanitation Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the processing equipment and facility. Position works in a fast-paced environment, doing repetitive work.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of all production/processing equipment and facility according to the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures as outlined by the Company.
• Cleaning and maintaining the interior of the plant, including but not limited to floors, walls, ceilings, overhead pipes and fixtures.
• Cleaning all processing equipment used in the preparation and packaging of further processed products.
• Efficiently disassembles and assembles production equipment as required for proper cleaning.
• Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures, and HACCP regulations.
• Accountable for removing the inedible product and garbage pick-up.
• Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
• Required to handle and work with raw or cooked meat.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Regular exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes. Works in a wet and humid environment, using chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing. Almost all the time is spent standing or walking.
