Job summary

Canada Bread - Bimbo is seeking a part-time Sanitation Associate in Hamilton. The role includes performing daily and weekly sanitation tasks, maintaining cleanliness across production areas, and ensuring documentation is accurate.

You will operate sanitation equipment and follow OHSA/WHMIS guidelines. The position offers a Saturday overnight or day shifts with Sunday and one weekday option, plus benefits like PPE and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience with sanitation chemicals and equipment cleaning on food lines.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform 12-hour shifts.
• Familiarity with OHSA and WHMIS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow and perform the daily and weekly tasks assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Help enforce sanitation procedures as instructed by the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Prepare and utilize sanitation chemicals and equipment cleaning on all lines and general housekeeping.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed on a timely basis and is accurate.
• Maintain in-house sanitation cleaning equipment (foamers, power washers, vacuums, sanitizers, floor scrubbers).
• Apply knowledge of Health and Safety practices and WHMIS/OHSA rules.

Shift: Saturday (12-hour shift: 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM), Sunday (8-hour shift), and/or one weekday (8-hour shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, or 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).

Hiring Requirements:
As a Sanitation Associate at Bimbo Canada, you will be:

• Follow and perform the daily and weekly tasks assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Help enforce requirement and procedures as instructed by the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Understand, and experience preparing and effectivelyutilizinggeneral sanitation chemicals (Safety Handling, Applications, Dilutions), and equipment cleaning requirements on all lines and general housekeeping.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed ontimelybasis and isaccurate.
• Utilize andmaintainin-house sanitation cleaning equipment (includingFoamers, Power washers, Vacuums, Sanitizers, and floor Scrubbers).
• Apply knowledge of Health and Safety practices,proceduresand principles as well as working knowledge of the OHSA.
• Understand,followand maintain WHMIS procedures and regulations asrequired.
• Understand,followandmaintainall sanitation programs and requirements.
• Working knowledge of baking equipment including flour silos and functions.
• Occasional lifting greater than 50lbs up to 75lbs.
• Occasionally exerting up to 35lb of force orfrequentlyexerting 35lbs, of force.
• Ability to work overtime asrequired.
