Job summary

ALS is hiring multiple General Labourers to work in our Sample Preparation Facility in Kamloops. You will assist with weighing, crushing, sieving, and other lab-support tasks under supervision. This role requires good hand-eye coordination, reliability, and the ability to follow procedures to maintain analytical quality.

Qualifications

• Good hand-eye coordination is required.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic alphanumeric comprehension is needed.
• Basic English communication skills (written and verbal) required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving and staging boxes on carts for weighers.
• Returning and scanning boxes into storage after weighing.
• Supporting weighing tasks as required.
• Ringing, sieving (including international soils), crushing, and splitting under direct supervision.
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintaining production logs.
• Performing general cleaning duties to maintain lab cleanliness.
• Assisting with layout duties and tasks as needed.
• Using correct methods in accordance with established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality.
• Following established safety regulations and complying with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
