We are currently looking for Salt Truck Operators to join our growing team this winter season! If so, Dicam Landscaping is the place where you want to be!

The successful applicant will safely operate a salt truck on a route of properties during a snow event that have been cleared by plow and walk teams and effectively salt designated roadways to Dicam standards. Our strength is organization and we plan our routes and crews in advance and always operate with maximum efficiency.

Our snow season goes from November 15, 2025 to April 15, 2026.

Our Expectations
  • Respond promptly to mobilization calls to confirm availability for a snow event
  • Conduct a circle check of equipment to ensure plow is properly attached, other necessary equipment is loaded, everything is operational, and safety features are working prior to leaving the shop or parked location
  • Spread appropriate amounts of salt on roadways after they have been cleared of snow
  • Load and refill salt into salter as required, using a skid steer
  • Operate equipment safely and obey all traffic laws at all times
  • Communicate with other operators and snow manager after completing each site
  • Fill out all reports and timesheets on digital app accurately and in a timely manner
  • Remove all garbage from the equipment at the end of the shift
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in winter operations, professional experience operating a salt truck preferred
  • Physically fit and able to fulfill job requirements
  • G license and clean drivers abstract
  • Able to communicate with customers, management, and co-workers in a polite and courteous manner
  • Be punctualand responsive to internal communication
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop or parked equipment
  • Team player who has a positive attitude, is reliable and dependable
  • Comfortable with using mobile technology to fill out timesheets and review site maps and reports when needed
  • On call 24 / 7 availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Willingness to work for long hours in various weather conditions
  • Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop and on jobsites
