Job summary

Milk + honey Holdings, llc is seeking a friendly Salon Assistant to support top stylists and grow with the team. You’ll perform shampooing, light cleaning, and guest service while learning coloring and styling techniques.

This hands-on training position offers flexible AM/PM shifts including weekends, with benefits after probation and opportunities to advance as you complete licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• State Cosmetology License is required.
• Weekend and night availability is required.
• Ability to hear to understand customers’ needs.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and stay attentive to guests.
• Ability to sustain physical activity for shift duration.
• Sensitivity to waste reduction and sensible product use.

Responsibilities

• Perform shampoo and conditioning treatments for milk + honey guests.
• Maintain salon laundry.
• Clean duties including mopping, sweeping, dishes, bathroom, and trash.

Salon Assistant Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Perform shampoo and conditioning treatments for milk + honey guests.
• Maintaining laundry for the salon.
• Ability to perform a variety of cleaning duties including but not limited to mopping, sweeping, dishes, cleaning the bathroom, and taking out the trash.
• Ability to exemplify milk + honey’s Core Values in every interaction with guests and coworkers.
• Adherence to all Attendance and Punctuality policies.
• Present a polished and professional image at all times.
• Be able to lift up to 25lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.

Work Hours and Compensation:

• Salon Assistants work a mixture of AM and PM shifts, including weekends and some holidays.
• Compensation starts at $15.
