Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant - Marketing Technology Lead

The Martech Lead / Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant is a unique hybrid business and technical leader who operates as a subject matter expert, relationship manager, and digital technology lead. This role demonstrates enterprise-level responsibility for the implementation and integration strategy across marketing technology platforms.

This position is responsible for the successful onboarding and overall strategic direction for assigned business partners and serves as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate consistently demonstrates thought leadership, strong technical expertise, and the ability to manage cross-division, cross-functional teams from project inception through completion.

The role reports to a senior leader within Marketing Technology and is accountable for managing relationships with senior partners across Marketing and IT, while delivering strong business performance, high employee engagement, and a superior client experience that drives value creation.

This is a 1-year contract opportunity that can be extended and requires in-office presence at least 4 days per week in Toronto downtown office location.

What will you do?
  • Manage and cultivate assigned stakeholder relationships, balancing business objectives and expectations with optimal, scalable solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in marketing automation best practices, including both industry standards and internal practices.
  • Liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather, translate, and document requirements with the appropriate level of detail for clear execution.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement in existing and future solutions.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business partners using a variety of collaboration techniques.
  • Design, test, build, and present proof of concepts, data integrations, queries, automations, journeys, and reports as required.
  • Understand, document, and present marketing technology solutions and capabilities in stakeholder-facing sessions.
Requirements
Must-have
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, campaign management, account management, project management, or comparable roles.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and/or delivering marketing automation projects (email marketing, SMS/push messaging, programmatic marketing, digital advertising, digital marketing).
  • 2+ years of advanced experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) with the following certifications (or equivalent experience): 1) Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant, 2) Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, 3) Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator.
  • Knowledge of data management principles.
