COOP Gas Station in Banff, AB is seeking a sales supervisor to oversee staff and coordinate daily sales activities. You will assign duties, supervise 1 to 2 employees, handle cash, and prepare reports on sales and merchandising.
The ideal candidate has a secondary school diploma and 7 months to 1 year of experience in retail. This on-site role offers permanent, full-time employment with opportunities to mentor youth and improve customer service in a busy market environment.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.). Assign sales workers to duties. Sell merchandise. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Organize and maintain inventory. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Manage cash. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: To be determined. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
