OVERVIEW

The Sales & Service Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team, accountable for bringing ALO’s business and guest experience strategy to life in the store. This role is passionate about sales targets, guest experience, and elevating talent to meet ALO’s guiding principles. The north star is ensuring that guest experience in the store is exceptional. Duties require constant movement within the store, including the sales floor and back‑of‑house. When not actively assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks as needed to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently.

Sales & Service Leader
  • Investigate and root cause sales opportunities, partnering with the General Manager to address process or system gaps.
  • Oversee the Sales & Service team to deliver an exceptional guest experience through assessing guest connection, product education, and coaching.
  • Continue to build daily client relationships with our customers.
  • Ensure effective sales floor coverage through workforce solutions and lead selling initiatives as needed.
  • Partner with the General Manager to build the Sales & Service strategy for the store and execute implementation with the team.
Business Leader
  • Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls in partnership with the General Manager.
  • Review, monitor, and partner with the General Manager to manage budget reporting and other business data, including metrics such as expenses and sell‑thru, to inform planning processes.
  • Plan workflow and business needs to protect optimal performance.
People Leader
  • Ensure that the Sales, Service, and Community team embodies ALO’s mission and guiding principles, effectively communicating who we are and why we do what we do.
  • Lead a team through accountability, continuous coaching, talent development, and effective communication across operations and visual teams.
  • Establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy.
  • Write an effective schedule that prioritizes business strategy in partnership with the General Manager/Store Manager.
Business Partner
  • Oversee execution of specific deliverables on the ALO Sales and Service Model to protect operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate and implement the General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross‑functionally with business partners to support all‑level organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand culture.
Sales & Service Leadership Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Agile ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.
  • Independent work ethic, time management, and personal accountability.
  • Requires constant movement within the store.
  • Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.
  • Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist and safely climb up/down a ladder.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout an entire shift.
Sales & Service Manager Schedule

To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, we expect all full‑time employees to be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts. All employees are required to work during the company’s Blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the first week of January).

COMPENSATION

The company’s Sales & Service Manager base pay ranges from $74,000 to $90,000 CAD per year. Sales & Service Managers are eligible to participate in the company’s monthly store incentive bonus program, which may increase total compensation. The listed range is part of the company’s total rewards package, which also includes benefits such as a clothing allowance, employee discount, 401(k), competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, commuter benefits, and access to the ALO Wellness Club.
