Responsibilities
  • prospect and quote new clients daily
  • promote our brokerage
  • execute on sales by following and trusting our proven sales process
  • serve as clients’ trusted advisor, educating them about insurance options
  • build connections with clients and motivate them to make informed decisions for themselves, their families and their businesses using strong communication and persuasive skills
  • establish meaningful rapport and maintain a first-in-class client experience with frequent communication and quick response times, even outside regular business hours
  • thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and remain coachable, open to learning and growth through the team’s knowledge and external resources

You’ll be dealing with clients who may be facing difficult life situations, and you’ll use empathy and emotional resilience to handle challenging conversations while maintaining a positive attitude.

The Details

This is a full time, permanent position. If you are based in the Waterloo area, you can work in our Waterloo office. If you're located outside of the Waterloo area, there is the possibility for working remotely from home. There may also be some travel involved occasionally, to meet with clients, participate in promotional opportunities, and attend conferences. We reward your successes with a competitive base salary and performance bonuses, and we will work with you to determine your ideal commission structure based on your goals. Your total compensation will depend on your tenacity, drive, and the sales you make. In your first year, you can expect to make (at least) $50,000 per year. We may consider remote work outside the Kitchener-Waterloo area for a true sales superstar, with occasional on-site meetings.

Qualifications
  • To succeed in this position, you will need to have had at least one year selling insurance with a proven track record of success.
  • RIBO, OTL, or LLQP license in good standing
  • Technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn how to use our state-of-the-art technology
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to work with complex information in a high-pressure environment
