What You’ll Do

You will promote and sell Nutreco’s value proposition and services to existing and potential customers, establishing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels. The Sales Representative takes ownership of their accounts and opportunities, contributing to, implementing, and realizing the sales/account plan for the assigned account/portfolio. They acquire and retain new and potential accounts, and strengthen customer relations to achieve Nutreco’s commercial objectives. The Sales Representative is an individual contributor reporting to the Sales Manager in an OpCo, owning their direction, development, and impact every step of the way.

Who We’re Looking For

The Sales Representative is responsible for the planning and execution of the sales strategy for their assigned area, ensuring objectives and sales targets are met. They take ownership of their accounts and opportunities, proactively identifying and acquiring new customers using market knowledge and intelligence. They build trust with existing customers by understanding their needs, providing solutions, and enhancing satisfaction and loyalty. The role involves value-based selling, uncovering customer requirements, demonstrating company capabilities, and showing how products and services meet those needs. The Sales Representative owns the resolution of customer issues, addressing complaints or queries efficiently in collaboration with Sales and Customer Services. In addition, they maintain sales processes and systems, record sales activities, and provide insights to management for informed decision-making. The role also includes internal networking and participation in projects, developing product and technical knowledge through training, preparing quotes, and contributing to sales- and customer service-related initiatives. Throughout all responsibilities, the Sales Representative is empowered to own their direction, development, and impact, driving results while embodying Nutreco’s “Own It” culture.

You’ll also need
  • Experience in sales or technical sales is preferred.
  • Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Travel to various locations within New Brunswick.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Dairy is the focus of this role, and poultry experience could be an asset.
