Auto-Star Compusystems, based in Medicine Hat, has been helping small retailers run smarter and more efficiently for over 40 years. Our software powers thousands of stores across Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean. As we grow with our newest cloud-based solution, ClearTEQ POS and Merchant Services, we’re looking for a Sales Representative to join us and make a real difference for local businesses.

About the Role

As a Sales Representative, you’ll spend your time connecting with local business owners, learning about their challenges, and showing them how our solutions can save time, reduce stress, and help them grow. You’ll work from our Medicine Hat office, supported by our expert team, while building relationships and turning opportunities into long-term customers in your community.

Key responsibilities
  • Prospect and build strong relationships with small business owners in Southeast Alberta
  • Present and demonstrate ClearTEQ POS and Merchant Services with a focus on value, service, and long-term growth
  • Prepare clear, professional proposals and agreements
  • Work closely with our support and development teams to make onboarding smooth for new customers
  • Stay active in the community through events, trade shows, and networking
  • Keep accurate records of leads, opportunities, and results
Candidate Profile

We’re looking for a confident, self-motivated sales professional who understands the challenges of small businesses through experience with retail, sales, or entrepreneurship. You’ll do well in this role if you have:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • B2B or B2C outbound, quota-based sales experience
  • Experience working with or selling to small businesses, with a resolve to helping them succeed
  • Comfortable working independently but also willing to pitch in beyond your core role when needed
  • Driven and organized, with the patience to navigate longer sales cycles
  • Based in Medicine Hat, with a valid driver’s license for regional travel
  • Knowledge of the merchant services or point of sale industry is an asset, but not essential
