The Role

We are in search of a Smoked Salmon Sales Manager. The position oversees the development of sales and customer management. This position works closely with a variety of stakeholders including sales, processing plants, warehousing facilities, accounting, IT, logistics, and other support staff.

This is a remote position. We are looking for individuals residing in the United States or Canada, central to the seafood industry.

Responsibilities :
  • Analyze system data and troubleshoot day-to-day customer sales, orders, and pricing.
  • Support our Managing Director with new and existing customer opportunities.
  • Determine and communicate new selling options to customers.
  • Analyze critical processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with customers and our internal production planning.
  • Manage orders and assist logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  • Actively hunt for new business opportunities.
  • Leverage existing contacts and develop new relationships to expand market reach.
  • Negotiate and close deals, aiming to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies aligned with consumer needs.
  • Develop and expand the company’s presence in national territories.
Skills and experience required :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing.
  • 7+ years proven experience as a Seafood Sales Representative, specifically selling Smoked Salmon.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with a successful track record of securing new business.
  • Ability to operate on a national scale with multi-channel sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
