Sales Executive
Job Summary
This role works with new and current customers to develop transportation solutions in LTL, truckload, and international supply chains. If you thrive on hunting for new opportunities, engaging decision makers, and closing deals, this position offers a dynamic environment with excellent phone and email skills.
Job Responsibilities / What You Will Do
- Develop outbound sales and business development strategy, processes, structure, and best practices across the company.
- Create and prioritize strategic target account lists within defined territory/industry.
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision‑makers, screen potential opportunities, and track prospects.
- Build new and existing accounts via emails and strategic cold calling.
- Conduct cold‑calling and warm‑calling campaigns.
- Maintain the sales pipeline tracker for weekly reporting during meetings.
- Engage in high‑level conversations with senior executives on prospect accounts.
- Mine, validate, and close leads from website inquiries.
- Schedule new client onboarding meetings with operations for hand‑off.
- Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and close ratios.
- Manage proposal responses, including RFP requirements and content creation with internal/external inputs.
Education, Experience & Qualification
- High School Diploma (preferred post‑secondary education in Supply Chain or related logistics).
- 3+ years of solid sales performance with a strong track record.
- Experience in 3PL, transportation, distribution, logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
- Completed sales training and familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of transportation, logistics, or freight supply chain education is highly valued.
- Excellent client‑relationship skills with vendors and partners.
- Proficient in lead generation through calling and email campaigns.
- Experience in social media marketing and PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong client‑focus service skills and drive to develop new business.
- Experience building and nurturing a sales pipeline.
- Innovative thinker able to generate new ideas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
