Overview

Sales Estimator - Martz Technologies

Martz Technologies is seeking a skilled Sales Estimator to support our automation projects by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have experience in control system design and integration, with an added emphasis on bidding within the municipal sector. A background in reviewing contract documents, preparing bids, and understanding the intricacies of bonding, grants, and government loan processes is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for control systems integration projects, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Review contract documents and technical specifications to ensure all requirements are captured in the estimate.
  • Apply for bids in the municipal bidding process, ensuring compliance with local and state government regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop project scopes and timelines that align with customer needs.
  • Understand and manage the bidding process, including preparing documents for bonding, grants, and government loan programs.
  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability for materials and services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, costs, and technologies to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Provide ongoing support for sales efforts by preparing proposals, bid documents, and other related materials.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell Automation, GE, and/or Siemens is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Applicant must live within 60 minutes of Berwick, PA.
